From time to time, I enter photography competitions. Here are a few of my recent awards.
"Trenton Harbor Window Reflection" - Award winner at 2023 Topsfield Fair "Professional Division." Image taken at Acadia National Park, Maine.
"Bourbon Street Drummers" - 2nd Place Award winner in the Street Photography category at the Newburyport Art Association's 2023 "Capture the Moment" photography show.
"The Harley Queen" - Winner of the 2022 Mildred Hartson Award at the Newburyport Art Association "Celebrating Access Through Glass Innovation" show.
"Resonator Blues" - Award winner in 2021 Newburyport Art Fall Juried Show and 2022 Topsfield Fair Professional Division. This photograph is of a New Orleans street musician who plays a vintage National Steel Resonator Guitar. Blues at its finest!
Rockin' In Rockport - Award winner in 2019 Essex National Heritage Area photo contest for the category "Off the Beaten Path." Also chosen as "cover photo" on Essex National Heritage Area Facebook page. This image was captured just at sunrise in Bear Skin Neck in Rockport, MA.
Osier's Wharf - 5:01am - Award winner in the 2019 Topsfield Fair "Professional Arts Photograpy" Competition. This photograph was taken at "5:01 am" at a small convenience store and gas station located at Osier's Wharf in Maine.
Dawn's Approach - Award winner in the 2019 Topsfield Fair "Professional Arts Photography" Competition. The photograph was captured just before sunrise in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The remnants of the previous night's storm were still playing on the waves.
Jordan Pond Reflection - 1st Place in the 2017-18 Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Nature and Photography Contest for the category "New England Nature." The image was taken during the "blue hour" just after sunset in Acadia National Park, Maine.
Solitary Launch - 1st Place in the 2017 Essex National Heritage Area Photo Contest for the category "People at Work and Play." The photograph was captured in early morning at Gloucester, MA, just as this individual was about to row out to his sailboat.
